Environmental Health and Safety

The role of the Environmental Health and Safety office is to:

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable environmental and safety laws and regulations and the Hazard Communication Program
  • Notify and familiarize students, faculty, staff, and visitors with potential risks and hazards
  • Minimize waste through efficient and appropriate use of resources and recycling
  • Minimize hazards to students, faculty, staff, and visitors
  • Participate in the development of sound environmental and safety policies.

Another requirement of the Environmental Health and Safety is that all those who do business with the University perform their work in a manner that protects the University from environmental and safety risks, and conforms to its high environmental and safety standards.
